THE ROBOTS
Like it or not, robots are coming. And while the first wave of robots will only be capable of doing simple task, scientists and engineers are making strides in advancing robotic technology.

And while the first wave of robots will only be capable of doing simple task, scientists and engineers are making strides in advancing robotic technology. These advancements will enable future robots the ability to perform more complex tasks.

There was a time where the idea of robots was only science fiction, but as technology advances, more people are realizing the potential of robots becoming reality. Technically robots arrived decades ago in factories on assembly lines. But these first and second generation machines, are far from what the public had envisioned.

Well, for the last few decades, engineers and scientist have been developing robotic prototypes that will serve as the models for the next generations of robots. But because many people have been expecting "Jetson's" like robots, they may not be ready for the highly advanced human-like models that are to come.

So how human like will these future robots be? The goal for engineers and scientist is to make them as human like as possible. Beside walking and talking, they will be able to run, jump, and crawl. If that doesn't make you uncomfortable, the science world is also working toward using "Artificial Intelligence" to enable future robots to learn, think, and make decision, this will allow them to operate with little human oversight.

These advancements in robotic technology will make
the relationship between human and robot a complicated one. Eventually, robots will become both our valuable helpers assisting us, and at the same time our biggest competitors threatening to outperform us.

Many would ask, why man would creating machines so advanced that it would have the potential to take over mankind. This is an ongoing debate centered around humaniod robotic development.

“Intelligent robots will be cheaper, faster, and far more reliable than humans. And they can work 168 hours a week, not just 40. No capitalist in his or her right mind would continue to employ humans.“
DANIEL H. WILSON
Author of "Robopocalypse"
“Personally, I'm not afraid of a robot uprising. The benefits far outweigh the threats.“
Vitaly Davydov
Deputy director of Russia's Advanced Research Foundation
"Living fighters will gradually begin to be replaced by their robotic 'brothers' who can act faster, more accurately and more selectively than people,"
